The table below summarises the plug types, voltage and frequency of electrical current in both Azores and Venezuela.
|Plug Types||B, C, F||A, B|
|Frequency of electrical current||50Hz||60Hz|
In Azores there's more than one plug type in use.
What type of plug does your appliance have?
In Venezuela there's more than one socket type in use.
You will need this adaptor:
Socket Type B
(Azores) to Plug Type A
Venezuela also uses Socket Type B, which is used in Azores. If using an appliance that has a Type B Plug in the Type B Sockets of Venezuela, you will not need an adaptor.
In Venezuela there's more than one socket type in use. You may require more than one adaptor.
The voltages found in Azores and Venezuela are significantly different.
Some appliances are compatible with multiple voltages. To find out if your appliance is one of them, check the appliance label and/or instruction booklet.
Is your appliance compatible with the voltage used in Venezuela (120V)?
If your appliance is not compatible with multiple voltages, you will need a transformer to adjust the voltage input when using your appliance in Venezuela.
The frequency of electrical current found in Azores (50Hz) differs to that found in Venezuela (60Hz).
Most equipment is not affected by differences in frequencies. Some exceptions are:
