The table below summarises the plug types, voltage and frequency of electrical current in both Bolivia and Poland.
Bolivia | Poland | |
---|---|---|
Plug Types | A, C | C, F |
Voltage | 115V, 220V, 230V | 230V |
Frequency of electrical current | 50Hz | 50Hz |
In Bolivia there's more than one plug type in use.
What type of plug does your appliance have?
In Poland there's more than one socket type in use. You may require more than one adaptor.
Socket Type A
(Bolivia) to Plug Type C
(Poland)
Socket Type A
(Bolivia) to Plug Type F
(Poland)
In Poland there's more than one socket type in use.
You will need this adaptor:
Socket Type C
(Bolivia) to Plug Type F
(Poland)
Poland also uses Socket Type C, which is used in Bolivia. If using an appliance that has a Type C Plug in the Type C Sockets of Poland, you will not need an adaptor.
Check if your appliance is compatible with the voltage used in Poland
The voltage, 115V, which is present in Bolivia, is significantly different to what's used in Poland.
Some appliances are compatible with multiple voltages. To find out if your appliance is one of them, check the appliance label and/or instruction booklet.
See examples of appliance labels
Is your appliance compatible with the voltage used in Poland (230V)?
If your appliance is not compatible with multiple voltages, you will need a transformer to adjust the voltage input when using your appliance in Poland.
The voltage, 220V, which is also present in Bolivia, is not exactly the same to what's used in Poland, but the difference is tolerable, so you should not need a transformer when using sockets with this voltage. Be sure to carefully check the voltage before using your appliance in sockets in Poland. You may need to ask a local, and electrician, or the local government to find out in situations when the power sockets are not labelled with their voltages.
The frequency found in Bolivia and Poland is exactly the same (50Hz). Timing devices and appliances that use motors will function as expected under this frequency.
