The table below summarises the plug types, voltage and frequency of electrical current in both Grenada and Gibraltar.
Grenada | Gibraltar | |
---|---|---|
Plug Types | G | C, G |
Voltage | 230V | 240V |
Frequency of electrical current | 50Hz | 50Hz |
Grenada uses Plug Type G.
In Gibraltar there's more than one socket type in use.
You will need this adaptor:
Socket Type
(Grenada) to Plug Type C
(Gibraltar)
Gibraltar also uses Socket Type G, which is used in Grenada. If using an appliance that has a Type G Plug in the Type G Sockets of Gibraltar, you will not need an adaptor.
The voltages found in Grenada (230V) and Gibraltar (240V) are not exactly the same, but the difference is tolerable, so you should not need a transformer.
The frequency found in Grenada and Gibraltar is exactly the same (50Hz). Timing devices and appliances that use motors will function as expected under this frequency.
