The table below summarises the plug types, voltage and frequency of electrical current in both Libya and St. Kitts and Nevis.
Libya | St. Kitts and Nevis | |
---|---|---|
Plug Types | D | D, G |
Voltage | 127V | 230V |
Frequency of electrical current | 50Hz | 60Hz |
Libya uses Plug Type D.
In St. Kitts and Nevis there's more than one socket type in use.
You will need this adaptor:
Socket Type
(Libya) to Plug Type G
(St. Kitts and Nevis)
St. Kitts and Nevis also uses Socket Type D, which is used in Libya. If using an appliance that has a Type D Plug in the Type D Sockets of St. Kitts and Nevis, you will not need an adaptor.
The voltages found in Libya and St. Kitts and Nevis are significantly different.
Some appliances are compatible with multiple voltages. To find out if your appliance is one of them, check the appliance label and/or instruction booklet.

Is your appliance compatible with the voltage used in St. Kitts and Nevis (230V)?
If your appliance is not compatible with multiple voltages, you will need a transformer to adjust the voltage input when using your appliance in St. Kitts and Nevis.
The frequency of electrical current found in Libya (50Hz) differs to that found in St. Kitts and Nevis (60Hz).
Most equipment is not affected by differences in frequencies. Some exceptions are:
