The table below summarises the plug types, voltage and frequency of electrical current in both Malta and Nigeria.
Malta | Nigeria | |
---|---|---|
Plug Types | G | D, G |
Voltage | 240V | 240V |
Frequency of electrical current | 50Hz | 50Hz |
Malta uses Plug Type G.
In Nigeria there's more than one socket type in use.
You will need this adaptor:
Socket Type
(Malta) to Plug Type D
(Nigeria)
Nigeria also uses Socket Type G, which is used in Malta. If using an appliance that has a Type G Plug in the Type G Sockets of Nigeria, you will not need an adaptor.
The voltage found in Malta and Nigeria is exactly the same (240V). You will not need a transformer.
The frequency found in Malta and Nigeria is exactly the same (50Hz). Timing devices and appliances that use motors will function as expected under this frequency.
