The table below summarises the plug types, voltage and frequency of electrical current in both Mexico and Bangladesh.
Mexico | Bangladesh | |
---|---|---|
Plug Types | A | A, C, D, G, K |
Voltage | 127V | 220V |
Frequency of electrical current | 60Hz | 50Hz |
Mexico uses Plug Type A.
In Bangladesh there's more than one socket type in use. You may require more than one adaptor.

Bangladesh also uses Socket Type A, which is used in Mexico. If using an appliance that has a Type A Plug in the Type A Sockets of Bangladesh, you will not need an adaptor.
The voltages found in Mexico and Bangladesh are significantly different.
Some appliances are compatible with multiple voltages. To find out if your appliance is one of them, check the appliance label and/or instruction booklet.

Is your appliance compatible with the voltage used in Bangladesh (220V)?
If your appliance is not compatible with multiple voltages, you will need a transformer to adjust the voltage input when using your appliance in Bangladesh.
The frequency of electrical current found in Mexico (60Hz) differs to that found in Bangladesh (50Hz).
Most equipment is not affected by differences in frequencies. Some exceptions are:
