The table below summarises the plug types, voltage and frequency of electrical current in both Mexico and Bermuda.
Mexico | Bermuda | |
---|---|---|
Plug Types | A | A, B |
Voltage | 127V | 120V |
Frequency of electrical current | 60Hz | 60Hz |
Mexico uses Plug Type A.
In Bermuda there's more than one socket type in use.
You will need this adaptor:
Socket Type
(Mexico) to Plug Type B
(Bermuda)
Bermuda also uses Socket Type A, which is used in Mexico. If using an appliance that has a Type A Plug in the Type A Sockets of Bermuda, you will not need an adaptor.
The voltages found in Mexico (127V) and Bermuda (120V) are not exactly the same, but the difference is tolerable, so you should not need a transformer.
The frequency found in Mexico and Bermuda is exactly the same (60Hz). Timing devices and appliances that use motors will function as expected under this frequency.
