The table below summarises the plug types, voltage and frequency of electrical current in both Vietnam and Luxembourg.
|Plug Types||A, C, G||C, F|
|Frequency of electrical current||50Hz||50Hz|
In Vietnam there's more than one plug type in use.
What type of plug does your appliance have?
In Luxembourg there's more than one socket type in use. You may require more than one adaptor.
In Luxembourg there's more than one socket type in use.
You will need this adaptor:
Socket Type C
(Vietnam) to Plug Type F
Luxembourg also uses Socket Type C, which is used in Vietnam. If using an appliance that has a Type C Plug in the Type C Sockets of Luxembourg, you will not need an adaptor.
Check if your appliance is compatible with the voltage used in Luxembourg
The voltage, 127V, which is present in Vietnam, is significantly different to what's used in Luxembourg.
Some appliances are compatible with multiple voltages. To find out if your appliance is one of them, check the appliance label and/or instruction booklet.
Is your appliance compatible with the voltage used in Luxembourg (220V)?
If your appliance is not compatible with multiple voltages, you will need a transformer to adjust the voltage input when using your appliance in Luxembourg.
The frequency found in Vietnam and Luxembourg is exactly the same (50Hz). Timing devices and appliances that use motors will function as expected under this frequency.
